Active sim stuck in work shift/event

How often does the bug occur? Rarely (0% - 9%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I was having a party thrown by this Sim, and put her in a work shift and left the game. When I returned, the game had dropped the work shift and she was idle at home, however the shift was actually still going on in the background, as when I took her back to her workplace, she couldn't start new shifts as the game thought she was still in one, without a timer to end it.
What do you expect to see? I expect to return to the game and she has completed her work shift.

My active Sim is not "busy", as she can engage in any events except ones at Parkside I want her to. Because the game thinks at some level she is still in a work shift at the cafe, though, she cannot start shifts at the cafe or the Eco Workshop.

As soon as it happened, I repeatedly tried the fix where you make your Sims idle and close the game from your device. I've tried this numerous times with no results.

I have also tried the fix where you have a relationship event at the workplace to try to get the shift to end, multiple times with no result.

I thought there was a thread for this problem already, but I couldn't find one.

Does anyone know if removing her and marrying her back in would solve the problem?
