Why be embarrassed?
The sims just keep on living their life while you ain’t playing, and then maybe they find another sim they like and the game thinks it’s a match (synergy-spark) and suggest it to you. I do think the other sim gets an equal notice.
Then it’s up to you if you want to send a friend request or not.
@arraks1 Hm. I never thought of that at all, but that makes total sense to me.
—I suppose I get embarrassed because I have no particular motivation for the uninitiated request, so it feels obnoxious. When I send a friend request, it's because I like a house, a Sim, I've met someone on the forum here...good intentions. All that sounds wacky now that I'm reading what I just wrote! But it's true.
