I have the same problem. Not only that, I had an opportunity to clear land and I did and then it said land must connect. Which it did. Tried to put a room on it and nope. I’ve had 3 more levels since where I could have cleared land and I never got the option..
EA keeps closing out tickets on me too.

Yup I am too having the same issue. No matter the plot I try and click on keeps saying improve lifestyle to clear land. I'm lifestyle rank nod to the mod and I can't clear anything. Honestly think this is so stupid it was so much better before when all you did was click on land pay simoleans. Ugh talk about frustrating.
- Same thing I'm on level 39 and haven't been able to expand in 12 levels, it keeps telling me to improve my lifestyle. I'm very frustrated!
