Cannot Change Roof Pattern

Product: The Sims Mobile
Platform:Android Tablet
List the specific devices you play with (e.g. iPhone 6s Plus, Samsung Galaxy S7) Asus Zen Pad 3s
OS Version 6.0
Player ID: (Find your Player ID in Sims Mobile: https://help.ea.com/help/the-sims/the-sims-mobile/find-your-player-id-in-the-sims-mobile ) 1003472143620
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to change the roof covering to a different pattern. I currently have the "On Top of the World" pattern and can't change to anything else.
What do you expect to see? Since we have no control over how the roof is applied, I expect to be able to change patterns without a message telling me to reduce the number of patterns. We can only apply one type and pattern at a time.

Additional feedback I've included a screenshot of the error message. I can change the type of roof (Low, Moderate or Steep) and I can change to a different color but I cannot purchase a different pattern because I get the error message telling me to reduce the number of patterns.

Since we have no way to apply more than one roof pattern at a time, I think something is wrong. I believe this started after I added the 12th room onto the house.

  • This happened to me.  Here is what I did:

I removed some items from my house.

I moved all of my sims out and had them working shifts at their careers in other locations.

I hard quit the game so it wasn't even running in the background.

I shut down and restarted my phone.

I'm not sure which combination of those steps worked, but it fixed the problem for me.
