Unfortunately, the game will not allow an active Sim to marry a retired Sim so she cannot be moved back into a house. As you know, she can continue in relationship events. Sorry for your difficulties. I have been brought to tears myself over game rules that affect my Sims adversely. I know, silly, but sad just the same. Live and learn.
@1004767007129I was just reading over this section again since there’s new posts and also because this really affects me.
I didn’t even think about her participating in relationship events. (my elder npc). I’m so reluctant to get involved with her. But she’s already crossed over now, she no longer just wanders the streets, now she’s a full npc, she’s turning up everywhere. So I’ve been having her over with her family for dinner and it’s been great.
It will feel weird, I don’t know how other people feel about this, for one thing I was really hoping she could go to rest, like every other Sim I’ve ever had.
But I’ll start having events with her. Anything’s better than her wandering around alone all the time.
