@Lkindrick what version do you have? Could you DM me your player id? to check if you are on the correct version you have to go settings>Help&About>About, the player id is just under the version

If you are using any cheats or have used cheats in the game is possible that your party feature won't work.

  My party issue is fixed! Thank you so much ~~for~~ to the developers for fixing this bug! I hope it would be fixed for everyone.

  @EA_DragonsEye I'm the only one who this is basically not working for. Since all the modded players I know were able to host successfully.
