Additional feedback

Hello,

since a few days I've had the issue that all Sims in the game have turned completely black and are "wearing" some kind of t-shirt with an odd pattern. This happens almost everywhere and with every Sim. I see it in the Dressing Room, when I look at my Sim in the personal Sim options, when the "Retire Sim" screen pops up, etc. It does NOT affect things that use character "portraits" like the portraits in the bottom left, or during event conversations.

When I load up the game or go into the dressing room, for a split second I can see the correct models while it's still "loading all the assets", for lack of a better explanation. However, it then jumps to the glitched models again, almost as if it has overlayed those onto the correct models.

As mentioned, this happens with every Sim, not just my playable ones. NPC Sims and Sims from other players suffer the same issue. No one is safe!

When the bug started I believe I was manually going through an event, either a career event or special event. Nothing out of the ordinary and certainly nothing I hadn't done before.

Things I have tried so far:

- Fully close the game and restart it

- Shut down the tablet and restart it

- Clear the cache, clear all game data, uninstall the game and then reinstall it

None have had any effect whatsoever, unfortunately.

Any help or feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I’m happy to report that after the update from the other day my sims are all back to normal!
However I had to delete my cache and restart my tablet before the fix took effect...did you try that already?

  • I have not, though I have just noticed that the family portrait and party icon are fine now.

Thanks for the resolution of this issue, members of staff of EA and forum mods.

After positive feedback from others I decided to check again as well. I'm glad to say my issues have been resolved as well and everything looks normal again.

    Thanks for everything!

    Hi everyone,

I came post an update, and I'm glad to see your feedback! 🙂

For anyone still having this in their games, please, update your game to the latest version (11.0).

If your Sims are still not showing properly after the update, please, let us know!

    Thanks,

    -Mai
