Oh I so want that glitch! The party idea is a good one actually! I also go through the list and check levels and the sims in the household. If they have hardly progressed with lots of sims I cull and if there’s no sim I’m actively in an event with or attend the parties of, then I let them go too. I feel so bad though!
It would be great to see the household before you accept them so I don’t end up accepting them deleting!

This kills me too. When I get a request and mine is full, sometimes I just click the circle that says “savvy” or whatever and click on the first person (lowest level) to clear a spot quickly in a party when I really want to add someone. Otherwise, I do the active day thing.
The 10 party thing is a steep marker though and a great idea!
My problem is I can’t tell which friends are connected to Sims I am actively “in a relationship” story with so I don’t know if my criteria removes them. But I guess it really doesn’t matter since I can’t chat with them about their Sim’s story anyway!

- The knowing who’s in what relationship with who is what I’d love to know too and also, as you said, if me removing them messes that up for the other player because I’d hate to do that to someone.
