Ahhh. So it's more of a "no longer being supported" rather than "actively discontinued" sort of thing - like an old edition of Windows. You can't buy it anymore, but if you already have it you can keep using it.

8 years ago@AbigailHawk For the people in Arab countries and China, if they already have the game installed, they can still play freeplay but they won't get updates. Should they uninstall the game , they will not be able to reinstall it. There will be no new installs of the game in Arab countries or China

@AbigailHawk it could have to do with non married sims being able to have babies and the religious beliefs in those countries. Don't quote me on that but it might be the reason. Being that EA just added this feature , I don't think they will be closing freeplay soon for all players
- 8 years agoIt makes sense. There are strict censorship laws some parts of the Middle East and China. I'm actually kind of surprised the game was allowed there before.
