I suggest you try the troubleshooting steps https://help.ea.com/en/help/the-sims/the-sims-mobile/troubleshoot-issues-in-the-sims-mobile/, there are also tips for iOS when you scroll down the page.
I don’t recommend reinstalling the game, since it might bring other issues in your game save. Contact EA help if troubleshooting doesn’t help with your issue.
