Game not loading after Hello Japan 2023 update

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I can provide screenshots of the sequence of events and my player ID. I can't report this in-game, as I can't move beyond daily rewards screen.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see the game to not freeze, which would allow me to collect my rewards and load the game as normal.

Immediately after updating and opening the game this bug occured. I had no problems prior to today. The game starts up ok, but once I reach the daily login rewards screen, the game freezes and within a few seconds times out completely.
