- Now it takes a full day! Whose bright idea was this?
Edited to add: I’ve also noticed that performing actions during an event takes much less time off the clock now. Which is not a great prospect for time-sensitive quests if you don’t have a lot of free time to rush through them. - They are trying to make it almost impossible to play without spending a loooot of real life money. For example 650 sim cash for a haircut, really? I have spent money on the game but in order to get everything we're suppoused to spend hundreds and hundrets of dollars. It is so mean an unfair to players to limit a game to only ones who can afford that. #disappointed
- themummyof48 years agoSeasoned AceI noticed it, I thought I was going mad... I clicked on the plot yesterday, and it said 2 hours, I just needed a bit more money... did it this morning, now it's 2 days!!
Is it a glitch do you think? - Anonymous8 years agoYes, and it is absurd! I just cleared a piece of land three days ago and it took one hour. Now it’s telling me it’s going to take 1 DAY and 12 HOURS. (Not to mention 12,500 simoleons!) This game is getting tedious and people are going to jump ship because it’s not worth it.

Based on my gameplay, the time and cost for land expansion increase as per the number of expansion done similar to how the cost of a room increases as you add more.
- themummyof48 years agoSeasoned AceTrue, but it suddenly jumped...one evening it said 2 hours, and when I went and did it in the morning it said 2 days...!

@SalixCat I only have 6 plots left to buy and when I clicked on one today it said 5 DAYS to clear. Geez.... 😖😔
- @PaQuilter1 Holy smokes. 5 days???
[Disclaimer: I swear I'm not bashing EA or the site. I love The Sims Mobile, and the admin here has been really fantastic. Below are my rational opinions.]
The first couple weeks I played, everything was relatively "affordable." And while wait-times were annoying, they were at least reasonable.
Now, at level 28, I can't buy a single new thing in the whole game that's not over 1,000 Simoleans. Waiting 5 days on land expansion? I believe EA is making a huge gamble on players' patience.
There's a sweet spot with wait-times: long enough to tempt a player to pay for a rush, but short enough to ensure the player sticks around if she chooses not to pay. If you overshoot that sweet spot, you lose players, which means you lose potential profits.
I've spent far more real-life $ on the game than I'm comfortable with, but facing the new game inflation, I've folded up wallet. I'd rather wait the 5 days and sadly drift away from playing rather than pay for a rush and find myself right back where I started—too broke to do anything with the land I just cleared. - PaQuilter18 years agoHero (Retired)
@VintageStarlette It happens with all EA games, they suck us in and then start charging more. Unfortunately, I love their games. I just feel sorry for the new players. 😟
- @PaQuilter1 I guess I got lucky joining when I did! BC & AD. Before Changes & After Debt. 😄
