How to start a hobby

Hello
You need to go to build mode, and press the first button in the row of icons, which is the collections button. Then press the hobies collection section. Then choose which hobby you would like your sim to, and buy the first item in that hobby set, Place that item into the home, and click on it. This will start the sim having it as their hobby.

You can start a hobby by clicking on the hobby item, and then you start to level up in the hobby by doing hobby events.

You can’t have two sims in the one household doing the same hobby at the same time. They need to have different hobbies.

You can have your sim switch to another hobby if you would like them to change their hobby. You just need to buy the item associated with the hobby to begin doing it.

I wanted my sims roommate to play the guitar but can't buy it until I reach level 11? Everything I have read said I could buy at level 9? Was this changed in an update?

The guitar doesn't look very great anyways. Looks like someone made it with a paint tool and didn't go in close on parts. Color blocks

You need to have the “ Maestro's Grand Piano" Heirloom to unlock it. This heirloom may be received when a sim retires, or it may come up in the heirloom store.
