How to unlock relationship event in Sims Mobile??

When I select my Sim's husband/roommate, it won't allow me to do an event. It reads "complete more events to unlock".

    Never mind, I figured it out. But thank you for your help! @KhisMama, for my problem I just had to use my other sim to do hangouts, but that’s because the relationship was between the two. Like @SalixCat mentioned, what type of relationship do they have? And is it between your two sims?

    @KhisMama 

    The game is showing a grayed out option that will soon be available as your Sim advances in the relationship story. 

    What do you see when you scroll down?

    @SalixCat 

    Hey! I have the same problem as @KhisMama, but unlike you when I scroll down, there aren’t hangouts or anything there are just options like “Flirt” or “Whisper sweet nothings”. Any idea on how to fix it?

    Thanks a lot, your comment helped me solve my problem! Been puzzling over this for days😅 In the the end it was just that I was using the wrong sim and once I clicked the other I could do events.
