Item limit still there. What’s the point of expanding?

Item limit still there. What’s the point to all that extra land? To make super huge rooms with barren walls and no decor? They have so many decorative items in the shop; so many collections. They can’t even be used because we have to be frugal with it all. No wonder I saw so many big homes with no doors and minimal windows and barren 10room homes. Hideous mansions basically.
