Marriage Event Unable to Unlock

Question

Despite that I have completed the “soulmates” chapter and had a level 10 romantic relationship with another sim, the marriage event cannot be unlocked. Nevertheless, two things might be worth mentioning. One is that the two sims I was trying to get engaged are both created by me. Another is that one sim is proposed to two fiancé. Does the issue got anything to do with the above reasons? I wish someone could help me.

I’m not sure, but I don’t think what you’ve mentioned poses any problems. Is it possible any one of the fiancés are elders (dark grey hair) or retired? You can’t marry in that instance.

Also, you need certain items on display to get married as pictured below.

No, none are elders and I had all the necessary items purchased and set up... Quite strange.
