I agree, the requesting system needs a bit of help. For example, if you ask an elder made by another player to move in, the game will duly send off a move-in request. But because the elder is no longer under their direct control, they don't actually get the request and it goes into the "dead letter office." The only way I realized that was by talking to a friend during a party to try to figure out if she had changed her mind about letting our sims marry off (and seriously, why are parties the only in-game way to talk to people? If we can send move-in requests, wouldn't an option to send them a message be equally useful?). If we can cancel a friend request, why can't we also cancel a move-in request that goes unanswered by an inactive player?
