New Update Seems to Have Reset My Cafe Location to Default Appearance

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? No idea, since I don't know if this is universal. Go look at the cafe in a well established test game environment where you know that you have made changes to the cafe location and see if those changes are still showing?
What do you expect to see? The Cafe location in Parkside to be decorated and equipped with all the furniture and items I have bought in-game as decorations or for the barista and secret agent careers.

OK this is a bit of an odd one. I just downloaded the latest update to Sims Mobile via the Apple store, opened the game, and sent one of my sims to the Parkside cafe location to do a quest.

Since the update (and I know it is ONLY since the update, as things were fine this morning before I applied said update!) any changes I have made to the cafe location while I have been playing the game have gone, and it has reverted to the default appearance and furniture.

This means that one of my sims, who is currently in the Secret Agent career (I have completed the career track for this, he is at lvl 10) is unable to start any career quests, as the elevator is no longer in place, and nor are any of the cafe decor or career related (either for the barista or secret agent careers) items I have purchased for simcash or simoleons. They're all *available* in the Furnishing Collection menu, and showing as 'green' not 'blue', which indicates that the game knows I have owned them at some point but they're just...gone. Not in the cafe, and not showing in the Storage section of the Furnishing Collection. Additionally any changes I made to decor colour (I had changed the colour of all the tables in the cafe, for example) have reverted to the default 'pine' look.

As far as I can tell, every other location in the game still has all the furniture and decor changes I have made in place. It's only the cafe that is affected.

*I have restarted the game (and the iPad) but that did not resolve the issue.

@thecakeisaLIE82 I got my compensation from the second form and at least the repurchased items seem to stay in the cafe. 🤞 Unfortunately there aren’t really guarantees with game items, not with TSM or other mobile games.

I’m unhappy to see how it’s been handled for many players, it seemed to start quite good and then just fell apart. 🙁 I’m hoping it’s just summer and holidays that left this project halfway and the team will resume in getting the Parkside in order for all the players.

Thanks for your answer @Ilois4. I, too, filled out the second form, but I never received anything nor was I contacted at all. Like I said, I'm ready to just move on. I've been playing for a long time, so the in-game expense isn't too bad for me, but I still don't want to waste it. I'll give it a try, and if it all disappears, well, I guess my sim will be looking for a new line of work. What do ex-secret agents do when spying is no longer an option? Cut hair maybe? DJ?

My main sims moved on to space career and modeling but secretly they are still spies. 🤫

Yep, I just left my cafe the way it is. I invested so my much time and money into the cafe and the secret agent career but I’m not going to bother because if it happens again now we know we won’t be compensated and there won’t be a bug fix

Just coming back, checking if there were any news for us who are forgotten. It seems like nothing is new. It's funny because I want to move on as well. But I'm not going to spend my hard earned sim cash to purchase all of the items. I guess my spies will be a chef in disguise. 😎

I was checking today to see what was going on. I think I filled out the form twice and never had a response. I assumed that was because I didn't provide a way to contact me through social media, so filled it out a third time and provided the requested information for Facebook. Still nothing. Oh well. I do think, however, when the time comes, the modeling occupation should be given to everyone who who has been waiting for the spy occupation and missing cafe furniture to return to say, "We're sorry."
