I've had the same problem for a long time too. I took this screenshot yesterday.

I don't know if this is a device issue. I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 with Android 9.

I have this bug since the very beginning, so I just thought that babies in this game had no pupils 😆

This is still happening. Players who want to take pictures of their Sims' babies find this disturbing.
