@GabrielaHassan You can make one of your playable Sims marry him. In this way he will return as NPC to your household.

It just happened to me too. Only this time it was my original character. All relationships were removed as if she never existed, same with the family picture. It's the second time it has happened to me but fortunately I was able to find them both at Parkside. I honestly hope this doesn't keep happening. I quick scroll through the forums show that this has been happening to others too.
