[Open] - Player Name Format not accepted

Every time I try to enter my player name after advancing to level 6 in the mobile game, it pops up that the name is not the correct formatting. I have read through every forum on here and tried all the advice: closing and restarting the game, switching to 5G, restarting my phone, lots of combinations of names that are numbers and letters, just numbers, or just letters, just using "test," etc. I even deleted the game from my phone and logged back in and it's still happening. 

Nothing I have tried has worked. I reached out to EA Help and they said they weren't able to help and directed me here. I'd like to be able to play!
