[Open] Disappearing contacts and relationships of Sims

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have existing relationships that disappear
What do you expect to see? I expect relationships to remain at existing levels, not disappear.

This relationship disappearing bug has been happening to me recently. I noticed it with the Internet Icon Hobby but didn't think anything about it because Friends were retiring Sims and I attributed it to retirement. However, my Sim was at a party the other day and she had a level 5 relationship with a Sim and while attending a party that Sim no longer recognized the relationship and in the contacts screen it only shows a level 1 relationship.

Another friend  @Fuzzernutter started a friendship with one of my Sims, Tyler,  and I reciprocated by starting one with their Sim, Van, (neither Sim is retired). The other day when I went to initiate an interaction his Sim was no longer showing in my Sims Contact list...I can't find him anywhere.

The other thing I've noticed is that relationships with retired Sims are not being affected with retirement. My friend has a Sim that retired. My Sim had a Level 10 romantic relationship with her Sim.  In my game her Sim looks young and if I didn't know he retired, I would have no idea by looking at him.

Something really weird is going on with our contacts and I hope it gets fixed quickly.

    @peyrx Unfortunately there is no solution yet. This issue is under investigation. I've merged your report with the existing bug report.

    How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? My sims relationships disappeared!! All relationship gone!!! I knew this is not a new topic, it’s been a year ago… when will u guys fix this problem? It’s really annoying!!
    What do you expect to see? Return my relationship levels back

    Please share your Player ID with me in a Direct Message. Also mention the name of the Sim that lost its relationships. Also, did the Sim lose other stories like Career progress as well?

    I often use Daniel Kley for maximizing his relationship.
    Everytime I change playable sim to use their energy the relationship progress got lost and can't find any contacts of the progressed sims of other player. I'm so sad because I need to do it all over again and ai don't want to do it for the 3rd time, I've just reach level 7 from my previous relationship status and badly gone. 
    What do you expect to see?
     
    I hope to see all the contacts I've lost and especially the relationships I build for weeks. And due to this hoping for faster level up status. 😭 I'm sad. Hope to fix this as soon as possible. Thank you so much for a good game. I super love it.

    Yes this happened to me as well this week. Sadly not only did my relationship disappear, but it was a Sibling Rivalry with one of my own sims that was was not in playable status. That sim was removed from the household it was in, and then appeared walking around like any other sim.

    I didn't have much 'disappearing relationships' problem with my OG sims (though it was there) but with their children, this problem is occurring often

    It's like those sims are having certain kind of memory loss

    What do you expect to see? Their relationship stories to remain active after 24 hours / Contacts to still be available after 24 hours.

    Since about Febuary 12 2023, I have been having this issue.

    My Sims' relationships and contacts disappear "overnight". After 24 hours, over 1/2 the relationships/contacts disappear from the stories. One night one of my Sims had 8 or 9 relationships, the next day only 3 remained.

    Note that my Sims have never been inactive/passive. They have been actively played daily since their inception.

    I can not find any real help from the usual EA haunts, and they are not responding to my help requests.

    Any help from anyone would be appreciated!

    I am also having this problem. My real life friends sims keep disappearing from my contacts if I add new people. And then she has a party and I regain the contacts but then have to start the relationships over and risk losing other contacts. The sims in question are not retired.
