@_EastofEden_ it sounds like you're lucky. For the dance career go to the Wellness Center and place the mirror found in the items tab.
For the photography career go to careers and pick the one that you can buy and place it on your lot.
Can you check and see if you have the heirloom for dance career and photography? Who knows you might have it.

Ok so for modeling and dance career one has to complete the quest? Ive never seen that quest pop up..
I am having this problem as well it happen last year and still has not been fixed. I have a few quests pop up asking me to place items I don’t have and can’t buy.
Dance career
science career
Secret agent career
internet icon career
surgeon career
i have a quest for each of these and no way to do them.
