Update:

This issue has been resolved via an update to the Google Play store version of the game.

Thank you for your patience while this was investigated and resolved.  


Hey all,

Nothing new to report I'm afraid, this issue is still under investigation by the Sims Mobile team. As before, I will post any updates I get here in this thread but I wanted to let you know we haven't forgotten about you.

    Ok, I hope I got everyone who wrote on this thread (minus yurina who already knows). I noticed my TSM app logo had changed overnight, and when I clicked on it it automatically started downloading the update. I think that means it should be available for you guys to re-download the game, too. Good luck everyone, and thank you @EA_Cade for finally contacting us. Thanks to the developers (or whoever) who fixed the issue, whatever it was.

    I managed to download it and install it!!

    However it lost all my progress. When I started the app it wanted me to start from the beginning. I had logged in with Google Play so not sure why it did that.

    OK, I got my progress back...

    The app starts and forces you to create a new sim. Once you have gone past the process of customizing your sim it prompts you to load from the cloud which I did and thankfully, I have all my progress back again.

    Now I have to somehow catch up on everything I missed!!

  • I accidentally hit play instead of load from the cloud and have now lost 4 years of gameplay. It now loads today's new game as load from the cloud after I uninstalled and tried again. Is there a way to get back my previous cloud or have I lost my previous game forever? Help!

  • @SalixCat I have been in communication with SimGuruPlatypusPunch on Twitter who said that they don't know if they can reverse it. I may have just lost 4 years of progress and so very much money spent on this game.
  • I was able to download and restore the game on my Android, but then later I went in to my iPad to play and the game told me an update was available. I tried to click on update game, and it opened up a browser that looked like the app store, I tried to open the game from there and got the same message on my loading screen that I need to update, so basically now I can't get into my game on my iPad. Ugghhhhh, please help.

    @alienelectricity I really hope they can help you recover your game progress.


    @tran0328 There is no update for iOS, not yet.

    We have, at this moment, two different subversions of the game since a patch was released for Android (v. 31.0.1.128819 on Android and v. 31.0.0 on iOS). Therefore, you won't be able to open the game on your iPad until an upgrade is released for both in a couple of weeks approximately.
