Re: [Fixed] Lifestyle points are stuck

I've uploaded a video to imgur because screenshots didn't seem sufficient and it wouldn't attach here. Sorry for the grainy quality but its good enough. As you can see, my lifestyle points are 271k before buying and still 271k after buying the curtains. Thanks for the response!  https://imgur.com/a/Y27qm

I'm not sure if its related to this glitch but I've been playing since beta, and since global release you need to spend much fewer simoleons to go up in lifestyle levels (10-20k is sufficient now whilst I needed 100+k before). Plus many items have changed in price. As these changes came, my lifestyle points didn't adjust to reflect these changes. Thus the ratio of my lifestyle points to the value of everything I have is not accurate. Just thought I would mention this in the unlikely case it would cause issues (and hopefully I'm making sense). If it wouldn't cause issues then ignore this paragraph.

    Hi,

Not sure if the dev team already looked into the issue (I contacted regular support a few days before posting here as well), but it has been solved.

I didn't do anything to fix it, it just started working normally yesterday. But today I wake up and lifestyle points are stuck on 302k now, lol. So the issue persists.
  • It's my understanding, from another thread on here (sorry, can't locate it quickly), that duplicate items don't give Lifestyle points. Could that be what's happening here?

I found this out when I spent a lot of my Sims' hard-earned cash on three additional Modish Chairs, to go with the one I'd aready got... and the Lifestyle meter didn't budge.

It's frustrating, given that items increase in value each time you buy them (at least those chairs did) and everything is so expensive at the higher levels anyway. My Sims certainly won't be getting any more chairs for their dinner table just yet. 🙂

Wow, if that's the case then that must be the issue. I was definitely getting lifestyle points from dupe items until recently. I can't test it because I have literally bought every unique item (excluding simcash items). Sad. Now I can't get more rooms/increase plot just because I've been playing since beta when lifestyle levels took so much more spending to increase, and I doubt the devs have the time or ability to adjust them in accordance. I will contact support with this query just in case. Thank you so much for the responses!
