Re: [Fixed] No retirement option

I’m having the same issue. I’m level 21 at this point and two of my sims have had four traits for three days. I unlocked retirement before they got their final traits, but not once have I seen the option to have any of them retire. This is really frustrating as I have four sims total and want to move in my sims’ child who just aged into an adult. I’m not sure, but three days seems like an awful long wait to get the option to retire.

I didn't count. It appears faster as you actively progress the sim by doing any kind of activity (work, hobby, socialize) @respectandlove3

I counted and it took about 5 days for my sim to want to retire after receiving my last trait. Just letting people know that it may take this long.

I'm having an issue where 3 of my sims had given me the option to retire. I retired one them who then became an elder NPC while playing on my iphone. I later loaded the game on my ipad mini and some of the game progress had been lost. I now have a playable elder sim which cannot retire. I've already sent an email to support team and will reply to this thread once I get a reply from them. Has anybody else found this issue before?

I got a reply back from customer support essentially referring me back to the Sims aging and retirement help article which does not cover my current condition. After a few days my Elder sim started gaining experience in the last trait slot and has now filled it. However, after playing 2 or 3 days with a full experience bar on the 4th trait, I'm still unable to unlock it. I make sure my sims spend all their energy almost every time I log on. My 2nd generation is almost about to get the retirement option. Even though it's nice to have a sim not die, this seems to not be working as intended. Does anybody know if my playable Elder will eventually die/move out even if not retired?
