Yeah, I doubt that we're going to be compensated for our lost items (though it would be nice to be pleasantly surprised).
What bothers me is that we have yet to hear from an EA rep of some sort saying that the problem is fixed, or that they're still working on it. It's frustrating when we encounter a problem in the game and we're left in the dark about it.
I'm glad the items are staying in the Cafe, but I'm not about to buy everything again...I'm going to wait for them to give me back my items, even the ones I spent SimCash. I agree that it's annoying that we have not heard anything, not even an apology message assuring us we will get our items soon. Some other mobile games have the decency to post a message and even give stuff as compensation for their error.
- @GreenCAT82 I agree. Truly, it would cost them literally nothing to reimburse us in-game for what we lost. Why are they so stingy with virtual currency?
I use to defend this game against players who picked on every little thing but this is not a little thing. Every player in the game lost an entire site because of an update pushed by EA and The Sims Mobile team. To not even have the decency to apologize and offer retribution is atrocious behavior and extremely unprofessional. I still play but the fun is gone. Knowing that we’re just the cash cows who throw away 100’s of dollars every month to pay these people salaries, the same people who refuse to acknowledge that we even exist is nauseating. I’ve been playing since day one and I feel like a total fool who’s been conned by one of the biggest scams in gaming.
I didn't realize they had a message. I didn't get one. I keep checking every day to see if my items are back and nothing. I feel the same...I still play but the fun is gone.😞
Yeah, I saw today on Twitter a second player saying she got her pop-up message and compensation. That’s two people out of millions of Sims Mobile players worldwide. I’m a builder, I enjoy building the lots and creating a theme to my homes. I play The Sims FreePlay and The Sims also but I had always enjoyed having The Sims Mobile events to get new items for my homes and new clothes for my sims. It saddens me to see a once fun game get mired down in so many bugs. This within itself would be tolerable if they pushed hot fixes and communicated with the players, because ultimately we’re the one paying all of their salaries and generating millions of dollars of revenue for EA.
Well, you guys can still play, just stop buying stuff. Maybe if we all boycotted, that is, stop giving them real money, they'll listen to us? If we're "cash cows" to them, we need to stop producing milk (is that taking the analogy too far?).
If they won't listen when we speak with our words, hopefully they'll listen when we speak with our wallets.
I have not had any of the rumoured in game messages or any missing items reappear in my game since I reported this 3 weeks ago and subsequently filled in the Google form provided.
It does slightly concern me that this bug has been marked and left as as "resolved" when it doesn't seem to have been resolved at all.
I did notice that the mailbox in the Parkside area was moved to a new location closer to the Eco workshop in the same update which seems to have reset everyone's cafe to the default. No idea if those things are related but I am sure they happened at the same time, at the least.@KingMobUK I noticed the mailbox was moved as well. I checked my game again and I haven't received any in game messages nor my missing career and decoration items. I decided to complete a new form just in case. This is really annoying.
