Several bugs

Product: The Sims Mobile
Platform:Apple iPhone
List the specific devices you play with (e.g. iPhone 6s Plus, Samsung Galaxy S7) iPhone XR
OS Version 1
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? The festival will not reload, I cannot win any prizes The eco workshop is stuck on Tuesday everyday Sims aren’t able to go to work
What do you expect to see? A working game!
Connection Type Wifi
Please select your region Europe
Country UK

Errors as above. Has been going on for 2 weeks now

    Hi. There is no active festival at the moment. The prices you get from completeing the tasks on your screen, are xp, simoleons and tokens to upgrade your Eco workshop.

    If your eco workshop is stuck on one day, it is probably because you have a Sim that is stuck in your workshop. Do you have a passive Sim that you cannot interact with?

    There has been a very important update to the game app this week. Did you update your game? If you have an Apple device, you also update your iOS.

    When you have updated your game, you can ask the stuck Sim to leave.

    There is a new festival as I have new tasks but it is stuck on the old festival so I can’t earn any prizes.

    my sims aren’t stuck in the workshop, they can leave and the day and night changes in the game each time I log on.

    I have looked for an update on the App Store but there isn’t one, I’ll see if I can delete the app and reload.

  • I have the same bug with the eco workshop. I do have a passive sims I cannot interact with, but he retired and I already deleted him (via the family picture) so he‘s still around, but I can‘t do anything to change the situation.

    Hmmm. Ok. I don’t really know what’s the problem here, so this may perhaps be some annoying advice:
    1) check that both your operating system and your app is up to date. Depending on your system settings, you may have to check this manually
    2) make all of your active Sims do nothing - let them be idle - all at the same time
    3) then: force close your app - close it completely. Open the app. Repeat 4 times. You may see that one of your Sims complete an event you didn’t ask her/him to do. Just collect the simoleons (and be happy about the extra simoleons) and force close the app again.
    4) turn off your device and wait for 30 seconds or so before you switch the device on again.

    I have no idea if this will help you. But generally speaking this is important:
    1) ALWAYS keeping your phone and your app updated
    2) force closing your app often and particularly whenever you see something unexpected in your game.

    As far as I understand, the developers are working on more bug fixes (at least this is what I read somewhere on Twitter). Maybe that’s why we haven’t seen a new festival yet.

    • Thank you so much for your suggestions. Nothing I could find in the answers HQ could help me get out of the situation and I always have the game and my phone updated… since it won’t be taking too long until the next update, I will wait for this one. If this won’t change the situation I will ask directly for help.

    I’m crossing all my fingers for you!
    The update last week closed a lot of issues in my game, but there are still a couple of scary things going on. Hope there are some really clever people at EA dedicated to fixing things 🙂
