I find boys and girls the same. When it decides to skip the events (showing them available when you log on in the morning but changing to a birthday cake before you can tap on your first sim) it does it for both boys and girls at the same rate (at least for me).

Yup. When I first log on in the morning, sometimes I notice the family event button above a baby/toddler/child but all of my sims have finished their nightly task. I click on one to clear the pink checkmark and the family event button has already changed to the birthday cake button. This is new in the last couple weeks. Before that I always had time to collect rewards from the nightly actions and still do the good upbringing events.
@Finealta I haven't had this happen yet but I only create babies every once in awhile. I'll try it and see what happens. 😋

I'm having the same problem. By the time I click the check mark from what they were doing the birthday cake appears instead of getting to do the event with them. Last night I had to leave a Sim doing nothing during the night to get the opportunity to do the baby interaction!

ARGH!!!! This literally just happened to me again with my son! He had the event above his head, i went to get his mum to complete it and when i got back he had the cake instead!! 🤦🏻♀️ 😖

@terogamusaudiHaz Me too. I hope I dont have to fix them in CAS. I hope my boys do not get thick beards so I can't see their faces. I have to remember to remove facial hair off my father sims before creating a baby. I think that is what causes the boys to inherit facial hair if their father has facial hair.
I will wait until they age , promote one for you when I retire Ruben and Alissa. I can throw a party and you can meet them to start a relationship before I promote them since you have to get to level 8 relationship or I can throw a party later in the week and just promote one of my boys then. Ill figure it out once they age up.

My first boy looks like Ruben with mom's hair color and build. He might have his mom's mouth and skin tone. Hard to tell. My girl only got Ruben's mouth and hair color. She has her mom's skin tone, build, eyes and nose. My younger boy won't age up until tomorrow. I know he has mom's eye color and dad's hair color. It looks like he might look more like his mom but I'll find out tomorrow.
With the retirement of Andrew and Margaret, The Knight family would like to welcome Alexander Knight VIII and his sister Elizabeth into the family (both wearing red).
Elizabeth was so irritated when she realized that the only hat suitable for high fashion and high society come only in blue. She was so upset that she went and bought several pieces of jewelry that we did not have before.
When she got to her first day of work at her alias cover job (which all good superheroes have) as a fashion designer, she saw her great aunt Charlotte (who married into the glamorous House of Stars) wearing the same dress and she then knew that it was appropriate for glamorous, high society people.
With the retirement of Bronwyn, Arwen, & Elena, I would like to welcome their daughters!
