the wedding event is hiding in the quest section. here is the explanation from the EA
New Wedding Quest
Getting engaged is a huge milestone and planning for the big day is an exciting journey unto itself! Now in the The Sims Mobile you can participate in the Wedding Quest once your Sims become engaged. By completing these important quests on time, you can earn rewards and a new Honeymoon Suite collection set!
note: if I am not wrong to remember. my sims need at least relationship level 3 to start the quest.

- oh and btw.. based on hossei ajax idea.. if you are not start your relationship yet, it suggest using 2 of your playable sims. so when the sims A energy run out, you can use the sims B to continue the event.
because if you dont do that like what I did, I need around 5 cupcake to make sure I can finished all the quest on time ☹️- I did the same. Wasn't going to have them marry that soon, but decided to do so with the quest being a timed event.
Can anyone tell me about the wedding event ? I can’t find it, there is no timer nothing. What have i missed?
I have proposed and I started the quests but you have a time limit and I missed the one that was at the club because I don’t have downtown I’m not in level 15. The wedding collection quests aren’t in my quests any more but I still have my fiancé, how do I get married? Thanks so much.

They can still get married but you need to purchase the Wedding Collection. It looks like this 👇👇
You place the three items in the yard and when you are ready just tap on the Wedding Arch. There's an interaction for them to get married.
