How often does the bug occur? Rarely (0% - 9%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? If you play my sim and take him to his job, you will see that the button will not appear above the stove.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see the work shift options to show up. I also expect the bar that tells you how much time is left before the shift ends to pop up when i click on a shift.

My male sim works in the Out of the Frying Pan career and he's currently at the Umami Expert level. The problem is I can't choose a work shift for him to do. The button you would click on above the stove that would show the different shifts does not show up at all. He can do the shift interactions, but the bar that tells you how much time is left before the shift ends does not show. I don't have this issue with my female sim at all. I really hope I don't have to delete the game and reinstall it to get it to work again.

    I'm having the exact same problem with a male Sim in the same career and at the same level ☹️

      Mine was a chef at level 8 set on a long shift that I left and came back to them hanging out at home. At first I thought I’d just spaced and not put her to work so I thought I’d try working on her guitar hobby since I’d just bought the level 3 guitar. The guitar was doing the same thing. Pink actions but no event. The only thing I could have her do (I honestly forget about relationships) was send her to a special event. So that ended and I tried changing her career. I unlocked the civic center and she was able to start that career and progress fine. Tried also switching her hobby to yoga but the yoga mat wouldn’t even respond to touch like it was part of the floor. Paid more coins to switch her back to guitar but the same thing occurred with pink actions but no events. This started yesterday before I applied the new update. No change after the update and no change after uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I have submitted a ticket for what it’s worth.

    Same here, with a male sim, 74% done with Umami. Can no longer work a shift at the restaurant. Tried reinstalling, tried purchasing more decorative items for the restaurant. Tried changing sim to a female to see if it changed. Tried swapping to a different career and then swapping back to chef. Currently also progressing in the cooking hobby, can try changing hobbies after my other sim makes some money

    On an iPhone 6... ios 11.2.6 says it’s the most up to date.

      Hey Guys, I had to contact support, and they were able to fix it for me. They do always ask you to try general troubleshooting first, like turning the device off and on, reinstalling, clearing cache, etc. Just run through that, and then reach out to them again and let them know if it didn't work to fix it.

    I have exactly same bug. Male sim, the career option doesn't let me any more. Also when I change the career, the new one doesn't respond either!

    iPhone 10, iOS 11.3
    I am having this issue across all three sims (2 female and 1 male).
    They cannot work their current jobs but can work jobs no one was in. The barista was fixed with a restart but even a reinstall did not fix fashion or medical for me. For now I am just doing hobbies. Seems like it has happened all three times when doing a long shift overnight on multiple sims and getting the watch an ad on one of them. Each time only one career would break for me.

    Same here can’t progress from umami expert. Male Sim no option to continue career.
