I don't know if my The Sims mobile app automatically updated or not but yesterday it just started "downloading" as soon add I clicked on it. The download progress would say something like 60% of 247% ...
Not sure what you can do at this point. I would suggest starting over.
You could also try contacting EA, not sure if they can do something, but you can try.
