It has been more than a week since the disastrous update which deleted all items and progress on the Jetty lot. EA's response to measured, informative customer service requests has been indefensibly scanty and generally silent. I am unable to comprehend the sheer scale of the loss of this glitch. As you can see from my attached photos, I had spent hundreds of thousands of in-game dollars, SimCash, and of course the base $15 USD on expanding the Jetty lot. As you can also see, a HUGE amassment of in-game items were concentrated on this lot. The loss is astronomical. More than a week later, all remain gone. My cases remain unresponded to. If needed, I can supplement this post with all of my other attempts to contact EA, none of which have received human-generated responses.
THIS IS THEFT
I am at a loss.
Please, please, someone indicate that this beloved legacy game is not a play-at-your-own-risk scam.
I lost so many of my favorite items, like my Mawdrey!
I had my lot set up like a music festival and was holding all my parties there.
My sims that lived there look so sad with it empty I had to move them back home to mom & dad.
But what also kills me is the land clearing! That's so expensive and takes up so much time. I can't imagine doing it all over. If they don't fix it I'm probably going to just quit the game.
OMG I'm just glad to see that others are as frantic and upset as I am, and they refuse to accept this theft. And yes, let's refer to this as what it is in reality, which is THEFT, plain and simple.
I didn't know about the Izzy issues, but I am stuck there now and unsure of what to do. I attempted to purchase an outfit from Izzy. After using all my gems retrying the design, I switched to using simcash, which I purchased. Now, if I try to claim the design, the game crashes, but it will continue as long as I retry and keep spending. I'm stuck in his shop and I can't back out or reset my tablet and manage to get out. I'm at a total loss as to what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions, please? You know I won't get any help from EA.
I'm just devastated by this string of losses. I've been playing the Sims on different systems for years and years and just love this game so much. I've only played Sims mobile for two months but I invested heavily because I thoroughly intended to play this game forever. Now I have lost every single item I've purchased, my home, my expansions and ALL the friends I've made here have left the game, or are leaving it. Those of us affected need to continue hounding them and organize ourselves in order to get something done.
Well, just like you I’ve been stuck in Izzy’s shop since yesterday morning. I even resorted to deleting the app and reinstalling it hoping that would fix it, but it didn’t.
So basically in a matter of months I was screwed by EA with the coffee shop fiasco - that by the way I ended up buying everything again because they neither reimbursed me for the simoleons or the simcash, nor did they replace all the items, then over a week has passed since the whole sunset jetty lot debacle, and for two days now I’ve been stuck in Izzy’s shop with the game crashing everytime I try to claim the clothes.
I have Sims 4 on my playstation, but I rarely play it, and I’ve been playing Sims mobile for over 5 years on and off, I love it so much that I have two gamer profiles, one in my ipad and the other on my iphone, and I have never seen so many issues going on, nor such a lack of response or respect to the people like us that actually spend money on this.
I would say we all need to be very vocal not only here but also in social media.
