@VintageStarlette Thank you. I just want them to stop optimizing the game. They are trying to make it run on more devices at the expense of people that have no problem running it. I have 3 devices that won't run it, so I use the ones that will. I don't want to see it go the way of all the mobile Sim games that EA is no longer supporting. That is my worry. 😖😕
@PaQuilter1 It looks beautiful! I love the way you’ve colour schemed your rooms. Can you or @BlueWizardRob explain the item limit to me please? I know it sounds really self explanatory, but ive yet to hit it, so i’m Wondering if its in regards to how much you can put in storage or if its how much you can place in your home?

@Finealta It's how much you have set out. Not what is in storage. It includes everything, doors, Windows, knick knacks, rugs, plants...the total sum of everything. ☺

Hello, I have an iPad full of screenshots of others peoples' Sim houses, so I love this thread! Thanks to those who've posted codes here and accepted my in-game friend requests. 🙂
I still have a lot of land to unlock and am hoping to add more buildings. Took these a few days ago before the item limit / graphics quality reduction problems hit.

@TigerblueDoodles It looks beautiful! Love the use of colors and how you used the arches to create a terrace. It has a tropical feel...Awesome! ☺
- themummyof48 years agoSeasoned AceI love the arches! Beautiful colours as well, rich and warm...!

@PaQuilter1 Thank you so much! I'd live on that terrace, were I lucky enough to own that plot of land.
I've been admiring your latest redecoration and balance of all those lovely subtle tones, too. 🙂

@TigerblueDoodles Thank you. I'm not one for starting over rebuilding everything but I do love changing up the color scheme! The designing part is my favorite thing about Sims games. 😉😊☺

@themummyof4 Thank you! There's a good selection of warm tones in the game, I think. Very cheering when it's cold and grey IRL. 🙂

Oh yes! Without that...
- 8 years ago@TigerblueDoodles Oh, Tiger! I love the details of your home. You've done so many innovative things, and none of it feels forced. It does have a tropical atmosphere, as mentioned above.
I don't know how you're able to have such beautiful landscaping, maintain such a high level of detail, and keep within the item limit!
One more thing...I love your seaside lookout! I have to tell you here—a lookout is my current project (blush). I just don't want you to feel offended if you think I stole your idea. I swear I haven't/won't!
I'm looking forward to trying to get into a party of yours. What excellence! - 8 years ago
@VintageStarlette I am blushing here! Thank you for your kind words. 😊
I don't think anyone, given your wonderfully original concept / house / Sims, would imagine you were stealing their ideas.
I did have a recent friend request who proceeded to to tear down their house and rebuild it just like mine. I *am trying to* take it as a compliment. 😄 (I think I'm most miffed that the postbox on theirs isn't halfway up the drive.)
The item limit... and now resolution problems on a large screen...*sigh* (The latter's off topic but I've posted about it in the Technical forum.)
I'm beginning to think I'm not playing this game the way EA want me to...
Would you believe I've yet to throw my first party?!
- PaQuilter18 years agoHero (Retired)
@TigerblueDoodles I don't think I'm playing the way they want me to either. I like the Sims Stories but I like the Sims Home Design better. You aren't the only one that likes designing better. 😉😊☺
- 8 years ago@TigerblueDoodles You are far more Zen than I am. It's crossed my mind before, "What would I do if...?" Probably kick and scream for a couple days, then raze my house and reinvent it in a completely different style.
No, I can't believe you haven't thrown your first party. That makes invites a hot-hot-hot commodity!
I'm with @PaQuilter1 —It's all about style, Baby. 😎 - 8 years ago
Style is most definitely my focus lol. I love the stories too, but there’s nothing i love more than rearranging and decorations my house!
I don’t know if were friends in game? I love you’re layout and that yoga room out the back is my favourite room. I dont know why, but i love the idea of a seperate Zen area. That’s why i have a whole room in the middle of my house for it lol.
@VintageStarlette @TigerblueDoodles I too want the waterfront views lol! That’s why i keep building across and I’m trying so hard to save money to clear more land at the back for that purpose. I just keep finding things, like 4,000 simolean hairstyles to spend all my money on 🤦🏻♀️
I came across the most gorgeous and unique design/layout the other day and took some pics. I do hope HeavenlyGoddess doesn’t mind me sharing them, but its just stunning!
Oh and thank you for explaining the dreaded item limit @PaQuilter1
- 8 years ago@Finealta WOW!!!! It's like...nothing I've seen before! That looks like an artist's dream retreat!
It's a good thing we don't have a choice to buy fashions and hairstyles for the children. That would put a halt to any future projects for me. Weak!!! - 8 years ago
@VintageStarlette Isn’t just stunning?!! I’ve never seen another like it. I was going through my friends list (because its almost full AGAIN!) and i always check the homes to see if i recognise players characters to avoid getting rid of friends whose names on here are different in game. I’m so stuck now. I have like two slots open and i’m Not sure who all the latest friends requests are from and i’ve Run out of inactive players to kick off my list.
Oh and my lord... can you imagine if we could by clothing as well as hair for those little ones?!!! We’d not have a penny to our names!

@Finealta Whoever designed it really had an eye for design. The use of the land space is amazing and it has a lush feel. I love it. Thanks for sharing it! 😊☺

@Finealta And I despise the "Item Limit". It cramps my style. Lol 😋😊
- 8 years ago@PaQuilter1 Haaaa!!! Punny! You're on a roll! 😆🤣😂

You get it when your house is full and can't place anymore items until you move something to storage. It is hard to quantify because not all items count the same so you might get the error when you try to place a plant but then be able to successfully place a bed.

Ughhh! 🤦🏻♀️ I dont want to reach that!

@FinealtaThank you very much - the yoga room is my favourite part, too. I actually rebuilt the entire house around that room. It was my answer to not being able to place the yoga mat etc outside - and now I'm really happy with it! The arches I used there also gave me the idea for the terrace area. Then I rebuilt everything else from there.
I do like how your Zen area is so central (assuming it hasn't changed since you last posted pics). Sets the tone beautifully, I think! I will PM you my code, just in case you have a spot that opens up on your list.
@FinealtaAnd three cheers for Heavenly Goddesses's design! Gorgeous - I love the colours and how they make something that's separate whole. Really great use of those huge windows, too.
@Finealta@VintageStarletteYes, it's all about the views (as well as style! @PaQuilter1). I'm saving two plots in the centre (at the back edge) for a swimming pool should one ever appear in game. (And should I ever be able to place/see one due to item limit/resolution problems, grrr.... (Sorry, off-topic but couldn't resist a dig...)) Mind you, it could be 2020 before my Sims are able to afford to buy them, so perhaps those issues will have resolved by then!
- 8 years ago@TigerblueDoodles Your fans will wait with bated breath to 2020 and beyond!

@VintageStarlette Hehe. I've told both of them that they will just have to!
- 8 years ago@TigerblueDoodles 😂 HAAAAhahaha!!!! You got me!!

Haven't updated my home in awhile.
