Will there only ever be one homelot and 3 playable Sims?

I'm trying to understand the objective of the Sims Mobile game.Is anything in this game the same as Free play? Thank you.

    I haven't played Freeplay that much. The Sims Mobile is mainly based on progressing in stories and completing them. 

    It also has a family system, so you have a legacy.

The Sims Mobile is based on completing stories and collecting Heirlooms, from what I've seen. 

This may be something that is expanded upon in the future, but for now, I think we'll have to wait to find out.
