It’s unlikely this event will start at 10:00 am local time if it’s a live event. Live events have historically started at 10:00 am PST, so players in the Discord and Reddit communities have been advised of the guide start time potentially being an error.
Also, FYI SimGuruIlya tweeted that the old luxurious vessel would also generate coins, so if players have both a new one and an old one from the previous event, they should test placing both out to see what happens.

Maxis Studios I believe is in California, and that is PST or PDT time zone. Even though they transferred to firemonkey's studio.
A simple Google search will give you a conversion for your time zone.
Since I live in New York EST. My time would be 1 P.M. for example.

I find it rather funny that game administrator issues schedules with PST when nobody is actually using it at the moment (because it’s summertime). So why not use a time sone that is actually in use, like PDT (US Pasific coast now that it is summer) or AEST (Melbourne who don’t have summertime) or UTC (=GMT or Zulu; the international reference time) or JST (Tokyo, who doesn’t have summertime) or whatever time sone that is precise. Then we could use our world clock (every phone has a world clock) to figure out when to get ready. Every time there is a live event someone is asking: when will the event go live?! And we are all confused 😆😄😄
It seems you are right about the Maxis location, @givememore86 . At least they have a vacant position as Technical animation director in Redwood city, California at the moment. Anyone want to apply - enough of work to be done 😆🤣😆

Or getting all the common items and them receiving simoleons. I need the coins. I have three plots of land to clear. Slowly getting there.
Then onto redesigning my house.
I just started a new generation, and when doing so, I did a mistake. Instead of promoting one of the children, I created a new Sim. I’m not going to write the words I used when this happened, they are not in any school dictionary, but as you can imagine, I was worried that a child without a good upbringing would be less effective in the current event. But she performed like clockwork in the Tasteful tea tasting, just as well as the others. No worries there! Which I’m very happy about, of course 😊
This is also the first event I have played (i.e. since September last year, I think) where my Sims have performed with normal self confidence 😊 That means that I see all the risky action options coming as they should. Unfortunately this is not always the case when doing jobs or hobbies or relationships, but not getting the risky action option in long special events is particularly annoying. Therefore, I’m grateful that things work in this lux event!
