- methuselahRetired HeroSlow down on the closing of old worlds, some of us love those old worlds! I still play in Closed Beta 1, the very first public server, 2,348 days later and I'm still in there every day. As for the deletion mechanic I'm unsure exactly how it works perhaps someone from Envision will chime in here but it does appear to be working for me as well.
- methuselahRetired HeroI know I have issues I won't deny it, at this point I'm still having fun and it feels like unfinished business so I plod on.
- Where have the thousands of accounts gone from W25 if they're not deleted? It has only listed 124 players with a rank at present.
Yes, the accounts are listed in your alliance but that is the only place. Certain details will be kept in databases for historical purposes.
You're ranked Player 3 - but many in your alliance have no rank and can't be found in the ranking listings.
Whether players deleted after 2 years can log back in, I don't know.
You ask can I do anything. What exactly would you expect a forum moderator to be able to do when their voluntary role is to moderate actions in the forum? "Deviwarrior;c-2026581" wrote:
oh that's probably why I cant find my old account it got nuked ;w;
Origin accounts themselfs are not deleted, only your presence on a world you have not visited for 2 years. If you want to recover lost account details you can contact EA customer support.- I must admit I have not read the post but two years from Dec 2017 would be Dec 2019 and perhaps Dec 2017 was month one.just a thought.
- There have been players come here and complain because their account had been deleted from a world after a prolonged time away, so 2 years is used.
Accounts are first marked inactive by the system and given a rank of 0 - many old worlds have only a few hundred players listed, some less than 100.
I wonder how the assessment is made that 'nothing has happened'. As an ordinary player, how do you know nothing has happened unless your accounts have been dormant for 2 years or more on a world - I can see accounts that have been inactive for more than 2 years, and they are definitely NOT deleted, still retaining their scores and bases.
You can't fool us; we actually can see the last login dates of inactives in our alliance. - I would guess they are considered active while they are members of an alliance no matter how long ago they were online?
Maybe unless they are a 1 man alli...
/Key - Maybe it's not working on all worlds. Certainly, some have been on this forum to complain their accounts were deleted so some worlds must be deleting accounts. Unfortunately even deleting accounts isn't freeing up space, as many of those worlds are closed to new entrants.
- My accounts are removed on worlds I haven't played in for years, so I can confirm that the deletion function on inactive worlds are in effect.
