Hello everybody. Interesting discussion here, although I think it should have its own dedicated thread.
As for what I do, I wanted to make available a browser extension exactly to help the less experienced to use the userscripts that are used by many now. Of course, I also felt responsible for maintaining the scripts so that they worked with every update of the game and this seamlessly. On Chrome I count about 10k of weekly users who use the pack. The extension allows you to activate or deactivate each script easily and then restart the game.
I chose not to include in the collection some scripts found on the net that in my opinion offered functions that went beyond honest use in compliance with the rules of the game. I want to remember, as I have done several times, that the game itself involved the use of user scripts: in fact, it includes a hidden SCRIPTS menu in which you can "register" your script.
Everything I do, I do it for free. Many people write to me to fix bugs or update scripts and I try to be of help as much as I can. Nobody ever wrote to me asking me not to update the scripts so they wouldn't work. In this regard, as said by @one_cIown , the end of the free community of scripts would almost certainly lead to the use of scripts in an elitist (and perhaps paid) way, which I believe would worsen the situation @chadthurston complains about.
For the rest I assure you that I do not have much free time to devote to it and I would have no problem giving up my commitment if it is not appreciated by the community or by the game developers. In this regard, I am waiting for news from all of you, better if in a dedicated thread.
Thanks and have a nice day everyone.
