- It varies a great deal. The Firestorm special worlds only started with FS8 and it is intended each FS world will be different settings from now. Small worlds of 5000 enable players get to the fortress quicker than much larger 50 000 slot worlds. FS8 hit the problem that they got to the centre so fast that the fortress was impossible to kill with their level of army. I understand that the setting was altered on FS8 to enable the injections of virus sat codes to reduce the level by 30 instead of the normal 25.
- So is it entirely possible for the same world setting to repeat on another firestorm world? Perhaps with one with virtually no POI in sight and a higher research bonus.
Is firestorm 9 the first regular world to include a research discount bonus? I saw this world as a good opportunity to play but I might end up running to an obstacle a week from that world's release date. I have this 3 day retreat in school that has no access to the internet, much less a computer. I thought of substituting but someone might ruin how I am supposed to play. I try to sync both account's progress, so if one researches the firehawk, the other one researches the vertigo at the same date. - It is entirely possible that another FS world will have the same settings, or totally different. The cheaper research is new.
Maybe investing in only 7 day rather than 30 day additional cp and rt would be worthwhile. You don't then need to spend much and can return to see if it's worth adding more.
Giving a substitute for 3 days is exactly what the system is meant for. You can choose to not allow them to upgrade or sell. The main thing is to pick someone in your alliance who you trust - or think you can trust - to actually log in. One problem at the start of a world is everyone is madly building their own bases, armies and defence. - The problem is for substitution is that you can't have the substitute attack enemies, and whoever substitutes might play the game differently. A substitute might end up attacking camps and outposts instead of outposts and bases. Whenever I attack a forgotten base, I have one account soften the base and another deliver the finishing blow. I also sometimes clean out weaker enemy bases, a few levels lower and perhaps one with a sign of forgotten attack activity.
I prefer lending an account directly to someone in my family and friends and teaching them the precise method that I'd play. I'd also ask them not to participate in chat. One candidate for me is a younger sibling of mine who prefers hard 2d games. TA is hard in a sense if you don't know how to use a high level army. I had no experience whatsoever with high level units, the ones along the mammoth-avatar-sniper lines.
Our family lineage in chinese and we trust deeply in each other. - It is all about choosing your substitute wisely. Family are not always the wisest choice, but can be at times. Playing alongside someone and having and understanding of how they will play is always a good idea before handing out substitutes.
- It seems that there are no forgotten attacks on the new world... is this some sort of mistake? At least I won't have to worry about the forgotten blowing up my GDI account as I play after 1 week.
- Forgotten Attacks should now occur as intended.
- Its seems strange however that when the world is with forgotten attacks, the Maelstrom base-scanner fails to show camps on its list if it is included. Must have been an oversight by the script authors. I used the basic one in CnCTA SoO Script pack since the start of this world. Right now I tested the one with infected camps and found out it fixes the bug.
Also is it possible to have certain quests performed in F/A worlds if the build 1 wall and 1 basic defense was already completed before the world was upgraded with F/A? I am already at level 10 and I have already completed that quest, which means I skipped past the next quest in forgotten Attacks worlds, which is to prepare a defense against a scripted forgotten attack. I would have had an additional 300 power for both accounts. - As far as I remember the quests are the same on all worlds. The only difference with F/A worlds is that once your base reaches level 5 or above the forgotten attack with a small army.
On the version of the basescanner pack I have I don't get the option to scan on FS9, the button is missing. However, on the PTE trial it did work. I don't know what they changed to stop it working. - When I played the world before it had forgotten attacks, I didn't get the quest about building the defense with 5 walls and 5 tanks/mg nest. Maybe your base scanner is outdated in its script pack. I've been using Chrome's version of that script pack. I saw an Opera version that's outdated. Mozilla didn't have any available script packs.
