This is a War Game, but it is not real world, its a game and as such it should be treated that way as a game. Once you win (Destroy Fortress) you are the Victor and have won the game.
If the rules do not change to prevent Dictatorships the game will go away on its own. I have decided to not enrich EA until they change the rules. Gamerdruid were you ever in a Real World War? I think not because there is no winner in Real War, just some people left to clean up the mess.

And ironically the alliance system is able to be run by what ever policy you imagine.
Like a government almost. There is safety in numbers. Get some people to be social and strategize with as it is the easist way to play yet obviously the hardest thing to apply.
The big alliances fund to reach the center first and accept players who alone understand that narrow and relatively expensive strategy.
There is a lot of game past the first 60 days and a lot of intelligent strategies and self defined progress to imagine.
If you are after the same thing as the bigger alliances learn their tactics.
