server outage.AGAIN

Yet again all servers are unaccessable.
i do not pay hard earned money to not be able to play.
i hope EA will sort this out soon and look at compensation for the guys who fund this gsme.
  • It is rare to have an outage that is like this, affecting every EA game from the Simpsons to NHL to FIFA to CnC:TA.

Apparently a fibre cable has been cut somewhere causing the problem. See other threads on the outage.
  • Will they pay us a compensate like last time? I heard that last time this happened, everyone was given something like free repair time bonus. i'm planning on using such bonus with a new world that starts at 11 am UTC. What type of new world be next, is it a wrath server?
  • A lot of unknowns in the answer to those questions:
Will the pay us compensation? Unknown, it wasn't technically their fault if someone cut the cable.
In the past they've given 7d x 700 cp, 2d+ r for 7d as well as rt crates. However, they were added to existing worlds and couldn't be used on new worlds so you plan wouldn't work, unless they launched a new world before any compensation.

What type of world will be next? Unknown. It could be a Firestorm special, a Wrath or Tib server with or without forgotten attacks, with or without Morale reduction.

Start time may or may not be 11am UTC, or 4pm UTC
  • If someone else cut the cable, is it possible to be that spammer? I mean with his level of hate spam, he could do something as destructive as that. I just hope that the problem EA can easily handle. I mean that every EA lover/user is currently suffering of having to wait for their services to continue. I also bet that they start a world after the problem is resolved. I generally want to join worlds without malus and with or without forgotten attacks. I prefer with forgotten attacks as this will lessen the load of looking for layouts.
I hope that their compensation is loaded on the first world one joins and that it would expire after the account is not used for at least 2 months.
  • Doubtful it would be the spammer, but we can blame him for the ills of the world too!
  • Is the disruption of EA servers gone and the problem of the outages have been restored?
I thought that this could be a more common problem and one that doesn't involve the spammer. It could be a problem caused by rats as they've been known to chew on stuff.
When was the last outage and how long was it?
About the spammer, we are better off without his presence, let alone his inappropriate and family unfriendly spam. I mean really, if a parent sees an image with indecent text being spammed, he/she could withdraw the child, and disallow him/her from playing, supervised or otherwise. TA could loose 15% of its clients.
3 months of persistent spamming is bad enough, but 15 months is another thing. Has he tried 'complaining' to the staff of EA's help service? Maybe he might get more attention!
  • Yes, connectivity issues where resolved on the same day, and the spammer had nothing to do with that.
So far, any remaining troubles with the login where a simple matter of the usual cleanup of
    cache&cookies.

The spammer will be dealt with when new spam prevention is being implemented across all EA boards.

It's hard to say what he's tried. His posting of my involvement pre-dates my becoming a moderator, so even that is off the mark. Apart from the fact I'm here to moderate only the forums, not in-game, he's taken offence at something and I don't think anyone now knows what it is.

His presence will be no more, so we are told, when the new anti-spam measures are implemented which will be soon now.
