So what you are saying in your EA double speak is that you put no thought into the consequences to players who have spent months on a game and just decided to randomly jump the levels by 20 over night. In other words you're stupid. That has been apparent over the last 2 years of updates. It is all about greed to squeeze more money out of players. Have you noticed how the new players coming into your game is now a trickle of what it was? I have.
You better give great compensation for the resources lost in my bases and the time lost that it will take to rebuild bases and regain the resources. You basically broke into a world and stole thousands of $$ collectively from the players on this world.
If that is not compensated this will be my last time playing your money stealing game. I don't give a crap about the reducing the levels back to where they should have been in the first place before you stole from every player on this world. What about the few hundred who have stayed and are helping others earn a badge on this world? They log on see that all their bases were destroyed and decide to just quit after months on paying and playing this game. You just ruined a world because you are greedy and trying to milk a little more cash from everyone.
I don't care if your a developer EE_Elepherion. Fix the game and compensate the players and make it right! Your game sucks because of EA's greed. You have made players leave this game who will never return because you stole from them. Every recent update has been done to line the companies pockets.
Obviously you have no idea how development works nor of the relationship between EA staff, EE staff and their respective organisations.
It wasn't a 'random jump' - it was a planned jump to match the intended implementation of level 80 worlds.
You say you've noticed that new players are a trickle and assign that as a consequence of the changes, good and bad, that have happened over the last 2 years. Maybe the 'trickle' you've noticed is because virtually the same players and group of players control each world and the chances of a genuine new player getting to the centre is very slim.
Stealing is defined in law in the UK (where I am) and is probably defined similarly elsewhere. Be careful about the words you use. You say a few hundred will quit - maybe they will or maybe they won't but you're assigning your views to those people and I doubt very much you've canvassed them as to their reasoning, certainly not in the numbers you suggest. Your alliance, maybe your family of alliances, but I doubt enemy alliances would even tell you! Maybe they'll see it as a golden opportunity to get to the centre and be the controlling alliance.
You can't tell the future, no-one else can either. Every action has consequences, some good and some not so good. Remember one important thing, no matter how much cash or time you spend on it, it is only a game!
