The vote for the WCS layout was fair. If guys used alts, EA would know by the IP address and not count those votes. CICs can request their players to vote a certain way, but if those guys don't agree with them no one is forcing them to do it^^ This thread also isn't the place to attack other players. It's for guys to discuss the best malus setting.
Someone wrote that malus +4 is unplayable. It's not. If it were, classic servers which almost always have malus +4 settings, would be empty, but instead they often have multiple teams competing. Tiberian 60 had three big teams starting and many smaller ones. And there are many players who have been waiting patiently for a classic WCS with normal malus to happen. The last one was 8 years ago, in 2015, that Nvidia won. 2017 WCS had malus +7 and Forgotten Attacks. Alliances got to center fast even with the Forgotten attacking and slowing things down. So without Forgotten Attacks, and with Forgotten Base levels only going up to level 43 on WCS due to the small map size, it doesn't make sense to make the malus so low and not start until 7 levels above Offense Levels.
The guys who truly hate normal +4 malus can still look forward to the WCS after this one, since EA will alternate the settings. They should be patient and wait, just like players who enjoy normal malus and hate FA have been waiting for years^^ It's only fair.
Many previous WCS competitions were marred by controversy. Last time it was the multi-accounting. I am hopeful that this won't be the case this year. It seems the developers are doing everything right so far. To create a competitive environment, players need to feel that their voice is being heard^^
@EE_kalyn To echo an earlier question, will the malus setting be announced before WCS starts?
