email or password not recognised

i cant log in with my other account on tib17, it says email or password not recognised, i could log in yesterday, could my account be hacked or is it a technical issue? i can log in no problem with this account
  • You need to have a valid e-mail address and a recovery system in place or eventually will lose access completely. Unfortunately you are not alone in feeling this way but EA aren't going to help!
  • Have you shared email/password combination with anyone? It is unlikely your account has been hacked in the normal sense of the word as they gain no financial benefit. There is a system for recovering passwords that have been 'forgotten', have you tried to recover your password. Have you tried logging in again with a different browser, clearing cache and stored passwords from the browser (or at least the passwords for the game) etc.?
  • Hi gamerdruid, I can't recover the pw with the account email, it is a yahoo account that was hacked so I closed it 2 years ago. I cleared cache, stored pw, tried log in with 2 different browsers, tried log in with different machine on a different wifi, I dont understand it, was working on Friday then yesterday I couldn't log in. Still can't.
  • Have you tried asking customer support, explaining the problem of the no longer valid e-mail address?
It's unlikely the account has been hacked - but I suppose it's possible as you don't need a valid e-mail address for to access Origin. Have you tried logging into Origin direct? Do they offer account recovery options that you haven't tried?
  • Credentials expired please reset your password, its a joke twice this year, why should my email address expire or change overnight and who can or would change my password other than me? glitches I know someone who's account is lost though ea and yourselves both hold the details, at least yours still exists.
My belief is somewhere its overly complicated, one minute everything is ok the next the rugs been pulled from your feet, and all that because you logged in at the wrong moment
  • I have a friend who uses an email address that no longer exists, plus he has the password stored on his work laptop and can't remember it.
I have told him a thousand times to talk to EA support (this problem cannot be fixed here in the forums) because if he decides to delete the passwords in the browser, he will lose access to the account.
He never has time to make the phone call so I'm afraid that at any moment he'll no longer be alive in the game.
  • It is usually possible to view passwords stored on laptops - either he's using a password manager or he's storing them via the browser. Most have a way to view the password.
  • Yes, I know. ;-)

But I'm not going to explain it to you because the main problem is that the email was deactivated a long time ago and he couldn't change his password automatically with the online tool (he can't receive an email requesting to change his email).

He has to do it with a call to EA support.
