Audio not working properly

In the campaign, all audio works perfectly fine. But in multiplayer, I don't hear any footsteps, music, or jump packs, so the game becomes extremely silent. I've tried googling the issue to no avail, I've moved the game to a new folder and tried reinstalling it. Nothing worked.

    HI @mrsebros To check have you made any changes to default in-game settings?

    Also, when you have a moment can we try the following steps?

    Would it be possible to get a bit more information?

    Would it be possible to get more information on this?

     

    • What type of Audio device are you using?
    • Have you changed in-game audio settings at all?
    • Do you have any recording or audio software (like a virtual mixer) running?
    • If on PC, please share a DxDiag and an EA app Error ID

    We can use this information, to help make the team aware of the issue and to further investigate.

    1. Using a pair of Astro A40 TR's
    2. Yes Ive changed in-game volume settings to be a bit lower than default
    3. Yes Im running audio through Steelseries Sonar and Im using Shadowplay to record
    4. Im not sure i have any EA app Error ID

    Thanks for this info you can get the EA app Error ID with this link - Error ID

    To check, have you tried closing the Sonar app and Shadow play and then launching TF2 to check if the same issue happens?
