[PC] Titanfall 2 missing dll

Hello,

I have recently had the misfortune of using the infamous ""Software"" known as "EA Desktop" with Xbox game pass

My symptoms after clicking launch game are as follows:

• EA Desktop (and the standalone binary) fails to find either MSVCR120.dll or MSVCP120.dll
• An entry in the taskbar with no visible icon after 500ms

Sorry, I cannot get a screenshot of the above at the moment as it is either currently not reproducible or it happens too quickly

This started happening as soon as I download the game, I've yet to boot it up properly.

I could not find any problems in event viewer, and dxdiag is attached.

Is there anything I could do, or am I a lost cause?

Things I have already tried

  • Including:
    • Repairing dll, booting game
    • Repairing dll, rebooting computer, booting game
    • Removing dll, rebooting computer, installing dll, booting game
    • Swapping dlls with friends
    • Running dependency walker on the dll (to no avail)
• DxDiag (ran ok, txt attached)
• sfc /scannow
• "Clean boot"
• Trying the game in safe mode with networking (same error when launching process)
• Running in win7/8 compatability mode
• Running from both Xbox, EA Desktop and the standalone process
• Re-installed the game
• Cleared the cache

Briefly, my specs are:

• i5-8400
• RX 580
• Windows 10 Pro 19043
