Re: Profile not Permitted PS4

Hi @BaronRiker,

Apologies for the late reply on this. In some cases I've seen that error come up if the date of birth on your account is underage. Do you know if you've got an adult account set up, or is it possible that you're on a child account?

  • Thanks for the reply! No that’s not the issue, I just double checked. Since posting this I’ve spent hours on chat with EA help and nothing has worked. I’ve tried looking for a system update, restoring licenses, testing network connect, port forwarding, deleting and re-downloading, and rebuilding the data base. EA help actually ran out of options for me to try.

    Gotcha. That's definitely some pretty extensive troubleshooting. Is this the only game where you're seeing that error? Do you have any other EA games on your PS4 at the moment? If so, are they letting you connect to their servers without any issues?

  • It’s only Titanfall 2 giving me issues. I play Apex and Battlefront II no problem as well as other non-EA FPS and online games.

    I see. It is weird that it would only be affecting Titanfall 2. Would you be able to try removing your account and re-adding it to your PS4 to see if that helps? I've seen cases where that can help with various account issues, so I am wondering if it might also help in this case.

    For more info on how to remove a user from your PS4 check out the PlayStation support website. Once the user has been removed you can set up a new user and log back in with your PSN account to recreate it on your console. Let me know if you're still getting the same error message after that.

  • From what I read, removing a user also removes their save files and I’m not filing to lose all my game progress and what not. That is the only thing I haven’t tried.

    @BaronRiker,

    If you've got a PlayStation Plus membership you should be able to back up all your save files to cloud storage through PSN. That way you can download them again from the cloud without losing progress.

    For more info on how to upload saved data check out the article on saved system data over at the Playstation website. You can find more info on how to then download the saves from the cloud on the PlayStation Support site
