Titanfall 2 Won't Launch/Crash
Specs:
AMD FX 8320 OC to 4.0GHZ ( NEEDS TO BE UPGRADED BUT ISN'T THE PROBLEM, I ran the test my pc program for titanfall 2 and it said my PC was ready)
EVGA GTX 1070 FTW (bottle-necked, yes I know)
16GB Ram
I want to start off by saying this isn't the first time I've had this issue(might not be the same but are pretty dang similar). About a month after release, I decided to purchase Far Cry Primal, I got it downloaded, launched, loaded, I clicked play, start, and at about the 75% mark on the loading bar..... "FCPrimal.exe has stopped working." Ubisoft's tech support never found me a fix.... or a refund.
The exact time of Titanfall 2's release, I clicked play. The game appears to be open and starts off the respawn launch scene but about half way through that 2-3 second span, the game either just quits with no message, doesn't launch at all and the play button just goes back to normal, or I get a pop up saying "Titanfall2.exe has stopped working".
- A weird situation but I have failed to recreate it, I have a feeling it was just a coincedence but I'm still have the crashing issue. Read if you want:
[The weirdest thing about this all is when the log in servers went down a day or two ago, in the middle of me trying different methods of getting the game to launch, when the game actually launched! I got to the main menu, no problem! I was able to check through the settings, change them, I left it open to see if it crashed after a couple minutes and as predicted, it did. I was able to do this multiple times until I couldn't get it any farther and couldn't load into multiplayer because of those login issues. This gave me the idea to try a different connection since I'm usually wired to my router(My ISP is Cox). Of course I don't have access to any of my neighbor's wifi, nor can I lug my PC around to a place with free wifi, so I switch on my phone's hotspot. Surprisingly, I was able to get to the menu again. I am so confused. It would still crash after a couple minutes, sometimes faster but what is going on? My original theory was that it had to do with my ISP which is why I mentioned it earlier but I just have no clue anymore.]
Things I've tried:
Uninstall/Reinstall
Repair
Run as Admin
Change User
Disable UAC
Closed Antivirus/firewall
Clean boot
Safe mode with networking
Reinstalled Windows ENTIRELY(I disabled non-microsoft services and start up programs and restarted and windows crapped and didn't display an area to enter my password, and I was unable to get that back, I reinstalled windows.... fml)
I've been in contact with support and have had no luck, they told me it's been sent up to their specialist team if their anything like other tech supports that means, we don't know, we give up. Don't get me wrong the people over there are nice and have helped me before.
Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated. - ItsMyBacon
