Johns computer store

I'm trying to create a college campus/adults area so thought it fit in ok here



I'm saving the blank space for when we get the university :-)

I had a spot open for the university over a year now lol I was hoping they would of released it on level 44 but oh well I like the level update

I'm having two issues, though. First, I have no idea what to do with that empty space behind the building. I wish I could expand the structure a bit, but I can't think of anything in the game that matches this odd color scheme. I'd also like to be able to do a "computer junk yard" full of broken towers and old monitors, but we don't have those among our decorations or debris. So, for now, it's boring.
I also had to displace kbbl from this spot, and now I'm not sure where to put that. For now, it's in the woods on the edge of town. I think it will prove easier to place than this weird little building with the gigantic statue next to it, though.

Nuero, you could move the building back a bit and add a couple of parking places. Those bistro table and chairs have a matching colour scheme so you could add a couple of those with a kebab cart or coffee/cocoa cart for an outdoor Internet cafe area...

That's all I have right now...

I suppose I could put parking behind it. (I don't want to move it back because of the giant, awkward statue.) That still seems a bit dull, though. I think the tables are a bit too orange for it. It's fairly pink. I wish there were generic tables without the weird tile.

Maybe some benches then and kebab cart? IDK, haven't made an attempt to do anything with mine yet. Could you swap the museum and Honest Johns? Or would that look odd...

In my setup, it would look odd, yeah. The tire would eclipse Stu's Disco across the street. I would never so dishonor Stu :lol:

I was looking at the 2 pics from this thread of the building. I noticed in your pic, Bee, that the door to the service garage is down, but in your pic, Neuro, the door is up. In my town I have only seen the door open, but I suppose this is when a character is doing a task at the store, that the door is down? Just wondering. I like the change.

In regards to adding decorations, I put in a newspaper stand, a bench, and a Laramie vending machine. I remember old service stations around my town that have the cigarette machines outside, so it worked for me. But that was the best I thought of last night, I would like to do a better design eventually. Not sure if you have any of those in storage or not.

The door is up when people are inside. Since I was immediately supposed to send a bunch of people to hang out there, my door is open. (I like to take shots of buildings while they're animating, whenever possible.)
Sadly, the cigarette machine was before my time. Sounds like a great addition! Any vending machine would probably suit the area, for that matter. I'd love a Buzz Cola machine.
