- I bought the stand after his quest line was over.

I found a possible explanation for the missing 24-hour job on the Marvin Monroe page on the Tapped Out Wiki. I can't confirm this, but apparently it depends on when you bought the walk-in therapy stand. If you bought it before you got to The Ungrateful Dead Pt. 7, you do not get his 24-hour task. If you buy the stand after you get to Ungrateful Dead Pt. 7, you do get the 24-hour task. As I said, I can't confirm if that's true, but I bought the stand before that part of the quest and I have never the 24-hour task in my game, so that seems to go with the comment on the wiki site said.
Here's what the comment says:When you bought it , you got a quest called Physician, Heal Thyself with the objective "Make Marvin Monroe Psychoanalyze Dr. Marvin Monroe". Depending if you have recieved this quest the game decides between two different versions of The Ungrateful Dead Pt. 7 quest. The usual one happens in the Monroe Family Therapy Center, the alternative one in the Walk-in Therapy Stand.
So if you recieved "Physician, Heal Thyself" then you also recieved the alternative Pt. 7. But in order to get the job the standard version is required.
It seems odd that it would happen like that, but it seems to be true based on how it went in my game. Did the rest of you who don't have his 24-hour task also buy the therapy stand earlier in the questline?
This sounds likely. I bought the stand immediately, and I don't have the 24 hour task.- Yes, I bought the stand right away and don't have the 24 hour task. That's definitely an annoyance.
- Definitely strange. But even if I had it, I would use the 20 hour task instead. Much better visual than just sending him to town hall. (The Lovejoy's task is also a great visual. I use it every day, except right now the Reverend is earning fertilizer, so Helen is thinking of the children.)
- Well this seems like something that needs a fix.

That seems accurate. I bought the stand right away and do not have a 24 hour task for him. Hopefully they can fix this with a quick update. I'll likely still send him on the 20 hour task though.- I don't have the 24-hour task either and I bought the stand immediately.
I wonder if selling the stand and rebuying it would open up the 24-hour task.
I wonder if the stand can be repurchased - anyone know? I don't want to sell it and then be out of luck! - anaquarindNew Spectator

Yeah, would really like to know this too. I need that 24 hour task! anaquarind wrote:

No, selling the stand and rebuying it does nothing. I just sold the building that Monroe came with started building it again. I will keep you guys posted on what happens. I've never sold a building with a character in it. I don't know if it will start the questline over or not, but I will know if 24 hours.- anaquarindNew Spectator

Just wondering if you found out if the questline starts over again - missing this 24 hour task really messes up my routine!
